In Williams Lake, students, parents and a First Nation are calling for the ministry to step in and investigate.

"I am thrilled and deeply honoured to have been elected as a trustee for School District 27. I feel truly blessed to be given this opportunity to serve our students, families and schools."

We remain resolute in our demand for an independent investigation, aiming to ensure all students in the district can attend school without fear of racial violence or harassment.

The ministry said it expects SD 27 to take immediate action in partnership with First Nations and community partners as it works on the recommendations set out in the SST report.

“It appears that some schools may have delayed sending them home,” the executive summary notes.  

“The piece that’s still troubling is that they (the district) don’t want to sit down and talk through solutions.”
